(ABC 6 News) - It s been rewarding to see events return in person after the pandemic canceled them.
In West Concord, the city got the chance to put together one of its biggest events of the year. It s called Survival Days.
The weekend event has been going on since 1985 and Sunday, the community came together for a parade.
The event is a fundraiser for local organizations like the West Concord Fire Department, The Lions Club, and the American Legion. We re very thankful for the social aspect after COVID-19. The community is always welcome, this community is also very close-knit and very supportive in that way so it s nice to see everyone out and about again, Mayor of West Concord Jeff McCool said.
Community leaders see the refurbished park not only as an amenity serving the town and surrounding communities, but as a potential spark for economic development.
