In San Francisco, high winds caused a tree to snap and topple onto some nearby electrical wires. That damage blocked an intersection in Bernal Heights until crews with PG&E could clear it.
At about 10 p.m. Wednesday, winds knocked down yet another large tree in Daly City, where it struck a car and blocked the roadway at Serramonte and Callan boulevards. One person suffered minor injuries, authorities said. The wind is really strong tonight; it s blowing about 25 mph with higher gusts, said Battalion Chief Jeff Huntze of North County Fire. In fact you can feel and hear that wind coming down. This is a tree that is about 80 to 100 feet in height and got knocked down because of the severe wind.

Drone photographer accidentally discovers and rescues drowning woman
(Web Desk) - Josh Hug, a UC Berkeley professor, was out with his children using his drone, when he accidentally discovered a woman who seemed incapacitated by the waves and even managed to rescue her.
Hugs stated that “We were just finding things to do with the kids. Brought the drone, kind of a lark.” He further added that “I’ve always been fascinated by gigantic waves” and had headed to the coast after he heard of a high surf warning. When Josh reached the Pacifica State Beach, he launched his drone high above and was admiring the view of the waves crashing into the rocks. However, he soon saw something amiss in the waters, as per a report.
Large waves along the coast in Pacifica swept away two victims on Tuesday, according to the North County Fire Authority. One victim was rescued and the other still has not been found.
The first victim, a man, was swept away on Tuesday morning off the Pacifica coast near Beach Boulevard and Paloma Avenue. Officials from the North County Fire Authority responded to a call around 7:40 a.m. about the man, who witnesses said had been standing on rocks before being swept into the ocean.
The Fire Authority responded with two engines, a truck and a rescue unit, along with Battalion Chief Jeff Huntze at the scene.
