FABULOUS, first class, excellent service, delighted, and Barrow s jewel in the crown are just some of the descriptions of a furniture store that has been a mainstay on Duke Street for decades. Dandy s Furniture Store has been going since 1980 and have gone from strength to strength ever since, with Jeff Dandy s wife Jane joining the business in 1990. The duo was supposed to be celebrating their 40th year as a store in May 2020 but due to Covid shutting them down temporarily, festivities had to be put-off. We were closed as a business for eight out of 12 months since the lockdown last March, Mr Dandy said.
