U.S. Rep. James Comer, a Republican from Tompkinsville, filed H.R. 3185, called the Save Local Business Act, last week. Comer said he filed the bill to push policies that encourage more workforce participation and loosen regulatory burdens for small businesses. “Our bill will protect the franchise business model, empower small businesses to prosper, and create fewer bureaucratic headaches for American job creators at a time when our economy desperately needs a lift,” Comer said in a statement.
