Athletic Round Table Luncheon: Coach Points Out Sacrifices Made by Two-Sport Athletes

Many coaches at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table’s Press Luncheon were eager to highlight the dedication of their student-athletes this season especially those who are playing multiple sports at the same time.
“I see first hand the things these kids have to go through everyday, and it really is a testament to the athletes and the sacrifices that they’re making for their teams,” said Dos Pueblos softball coach Mike Gerken. “I hope all coaches recognize the sacrifices that all of your two-sport athletes are going through right now.”
Housing and Development Newsletter Will and Jed played a competitive match, said San Marcos coach Jarrod Bradley. Jed countered Will s inside-out forehand winners, with a baseline consistency and pinpoint control. The difference was Jed was able to move Will around just enough to induce errors.

San Marcos is 10-0 in Channel League play, heading into the league tournament next week. The Royals are 11-0 overall, and will close out their non-league season with matches against San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande.
