Artists create co-op to support small businesses hit during pandemic

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCSC) - Artists are helping other artists recover from the financial impacts of the pandemic.
A brand-new co-op in Colleton County, known as the Artistsâ Hub of the Ace Basin, opened on Saturday to give a platform for artists of all kinds.
Artist and co-founder Heather Whitten said she and local art teacher Jeannie Langston came up with the idea after seeing the devastating financial impacts the pandemic brought to the art community.
