Indeed, that was Staten Island’s very own Ed Canlon in the previews of new Food Network showdown, “Kitchen Crash.” And when the episode finally aired Wednesday night, the Oakwood restaurant owner and Chopped! champ did not disappoint although the outcome of the broadcast certainly did, based on reactions from Staten Islanders who tuned in. On Season 1, Episode 3 of “Kitchen Crash,” host Jeff Maura, aka “Sandwich King,” and Leah Cohen judged the cooking of three chefs including “Fast Eddie” Canlon. “Meat on the Street,” as the segment is dubbed, was filmed in the middle of a residential street in East Windsor, N.J.
