The Walnutport Canal Festival will return again this year, but with a new look and name.
It will take place Oct. 19-20, and be known as Walnutport Canal Days, as explained to borough council on Thursd.
The 43rd and final Walnutport Canal Festival was held Sunday, drawing hundreds of people for the food, games and crafts.
“We have about 50 crafters and around 12 food stands and trucks,” said festival.
A signature attraction in Walnutport known for celebrating its heritage is set to host its final go-round.
The 42nd annual Walnutport Canal Festival will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 15, rain o.
Saturday is Earth Day, and a number of community organizations will donate their time to make the area a bit cleaner.
Two of the groups will focus on the Lehigh River - and said any help is appreciate.
