Family mourning loss of Bryant teacher who died from COVID-19

BRYANT, Ark. As the Bryant community mourns the loss of a teacher, Jamie Sheffield, her five children sat down to share memories about their mother.
Sheffield died this week after battling COVID-19.
Her children says she is more than just a statistic, and that she left a legacy behind.
“Mom was great for everything,” said Justin Heffner, Sheffield’s son.
Sheffield’s children said to know her is to love her and she had the same heart for many things, including teaching special education at Bethel Middle School, serving as the school’s cheer coach, but most importantly, she loved her grandchildren. They were her world.
