Phoenix City Manager Ed Zuercher said the city created an employee safety awards program that gives employees the money when they show proof that they have received both doses of the vaccine. It s a way to incentivize employees to get the vaccine, Zuercher said, which is important for the health of the employees but also the health of the entire community, since employees are out with the community every day.
