A nurse leadership role at a young people’s cancer charity is to be “embedded” at a different charity to improve information sharing between nurses and other professionals.
CLIC Sargent’s chief nurse post, currently held by Jeanette Hawkins, is being moved to the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group, though the role will continue to be funded by the former.
“Nursing remains a key priority for the charity and the chief nurse role will continue to support CLIC Sargent”

It comes after the pandemic highlighted opportunities for childhood cancer organisations to work in a more joined up way, according to the two charities.
