AFCON 2021 : Mascot, Anthem Unveiled
The mascot “Mola” andhymn song “AfricaSmile” were presented in a ceremony in Yaounde on Saturday May 15, 2021 while waiting for approval from CAF.
The main hall of the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex was the venue of the ceremony to unveil the best selected works of the National Artistic Contest for the official anthem and mascot of the Total Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021. Speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi who doubles as the president of COCAN 2021 expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed towards the success of the event.The Minister used the occasion to announce the arrival of CAF expertson May 21, 2021 who will be in the country to inspect sports infrastructure, hotel, hospital and airport
AFCON 2021 Mascot, Anthem : Three Best Proposals Shortlisted
This was during a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education on May 5, 2021 in Yaounde.
Cameroon is drawing nearer to getting a suitable mascot and anthem for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the selection of the three best anonymous proposals in each category. This was during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi who doubles as the President of the AFCON Organising Committee (COCAN) on May 5, 2021 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.
