By James Harding Giahyue, New Narratives Senior Justice Correspondent BELLINZONA, Switzerland – The defense team of Alieu Kosiah has pointed to “errors” and “contradictions” between stories witnesses told Swiss investigators in the war crimes case and the testimonies they have given in court, saying the inconsistencies undermine the case against their client and the Swiss Federal Criminal Court should acquit their client. Dmitri Gianoli, Kosiah’s main lawyer, told the court the stories of the seven Liberians that focused on crimes allegedly committed in Lofa by Kosiah and ULIMO rebels under his command, were different from what they told investigators in the case in the Swiss capital city of Bern in 2014. Furthermore, the witnesses did not agree with each other.
