JPSO investigates deadly one-vehicle crash in Lafitte Share Updated: 10:58 PM CST Mar 9, 2021 Bun Choum The Jefferson Parish Sheriff s Office is investigating a fatal accident in Lafitte.The sheriff s office said Tuesday at 8:13 p.m. they received a call about a single-vehicle crash on Jean Lafitte Boulevard near Cody Ryan Road. Upon arrival, detectives said they found a 2018 GMC pickup truck overturned in a ditch. Early investigation shows the driver was traveling southbound before veering off the roadway. The truck then crashed into the ditch before hitting a culvert, according to detectives. The driver died at the scene, however detectives said the cause of death is still unknown.
