Health care workers from the J. C. Lewis Primary Health Care Center will be at the Salvation Army shelter, 3100 Montgomery St., to administer vaccines to the homeless population on Wednesday morning.
According to Rena Douse, CEO of J.C Lewis Primary Health, 100 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available. The clinic begins at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to end at noon.
Walk-ups are welcome but pre-registration makes the process go smoother, Douse said. Vaccines will be administered to people age 18 and older. To pre-register for the event, or to find another appointment site, click on the J.C. Lewis website at jclewishealth.org or call 912495-8887.
