Police arrested a 28-year-old man Wednesday in connection with a fatal accident involving a pedestrian in Waterbury last December.
Kashawn Taylor hit 32-year-old Jayvon Muse as Muse was walking along West Main Street around 3 a.m. on December 27, 2020, according to police. Muse was taken to the hospital, but died two weeks later. Download our mobile app for iOS or Android to get alerts for local breaking news and weather.

WATERBURY A man charged in a crash that killed Jayvon Muse in late December 2020 was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics at the time of the collision, according to police.
Muse, 28, was walking on West Main Street just before 3 a.m. on Dec. 27, 2020, when he was hit by a white Jeep Patriot. Police said Muse sustained life-threatening injuries, which he succumbed to on the morning of Jan. 11.
Investigators identified the driver as 28-year-old Kashawn Taylor, who police said was “found at fault for the collision.” Police said Taylor was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics at the time of the accident.
