A traditional gypsy camp complete with wagons and other vehicles appears to have been set up in Lee Quarry, where filming is expected to start in the coming days.

FILMING for hit gangster TV series the Peaky Blinders looks set to get underway in East Lancashire in the coming days. Film crews have set-up camp close to the Lee Quarry in Rossendale with rumours rife that members of notorious Shelby clan will shortly arrive in the county. It comes after Cillian Murphy, who plays the show’s main character Thomas Shelby, was pictured in Bolton last week as filming for the eagerly anticipated series six continued. Peaky Blinders is one of the BBC’s most successful dramas and has become cult viewing since it began in 2013.
