Kansas City family hopes for justice nearly 5 years after shooting death of two young boys

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Aishah Coppage is all too familiar with loss.
She lost her 16-year-old nephew, Jayson Ugwuh, in January in a shooting. In 2016, her 8-year-old son, Montell Ross, and 9-year-old nephew, Jayden Ugwuh, were killed in a shooting while playing video games at home.
August will mark five years since the death of the two little boys. Coppage is hoping the anniversary will not come and go without justice.

Coppage told authorities that she knew where Lars would be and that she followed him
The two opened fire from two different vehicles, according to eyewitnesses
A review of Coppage s cell phone revealed texts she sent to a contact named Auntie, asking for .45-caliber bullets
Jason Ugwuh, 16, was shot to death, according to an arrest affidavit
Coppage allegedly killed Lars because she believed he was involved in the murder of her sibling, according to the outlet.
Coppage allegedly admitted to shooting Lars but claimed it was in self defense. She also confessed to knowing where he would be before the attack and said she’d followed him, the affidavit states.
During the investigation, cops say they uncovered text messages sent from Coppage to a person she called ‘Auntie’ asking for .45-caliber bullets. She also allegedly sent a text to her late brother after his death saying,

Rappers DaBaby and 42 Dugg are offering to come to the rescue of a Missouri woman who made headlines after she allegedly avenged the death of her younger brother, according to The Associated Press.
On Instagram, 42 Dugg offered to put $20,000 toward the bail of Tityana Coppage, who is accused of shooting and killing 36-year-old Keith Lars on Jan. 13, local news outlet KCTV5 reported.
