Palmerston North Boys High student Jayden Glentworth heads to the finish line during the last leg of the Crest to Crest challenge from Feilding to Palmerston North.
When Jayden Glentworth powered into Palmerston North Boys’ High School with a team of class-mates to finish theCrest to Crest challenge, it capped more than a year of hard work for the teen. Glentworth, 16, finished the annual endurance challenge on Friday – a run, bike and kayak event from Mt Ruapehu to Boys’ High – 14 months after injuring his spine in a mountain bike accident. He is now a wheelchair user, but in the past year he has been determined with his rehabilitation and his preparation for Crest to Crest, which he did on a hand-powered bicycle.
