Single death related to COVID-19 reported Saturday
The death was in the 80 plus age group and in the Regina zone.
The number of deaths in Saskatchewan related to COVID-19 has risen to 516.
On Saturday there were 21 new cases reported in North Central.
In the province there was a total of 196 new cases reported. Saskatoon led the province with 67 new cases reported.
Six cases that were reported out of province and three cases with residence pending were also added to North Central.
North Central 2, which is Prince Albert, has 80 active cases. North Central 1, which includes communities such as Christopher Lake, Candle Lake and Meath Park, has 46 active cases and North Central 3 has 53 active cases.

Saskatchewan health officials reported a death related to COVID-19 in North Central, which includes Prince Albert, for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
The death was in the 70 to 79 age group.
This was among five deaths reported Thursday, the others were in the 70 to 79 and 60 to 69 age group in the Far North East and in the 80 plus age group in the North West and Regina zones.
The number of deaths in Saskatchewan related to COVID-19 has risen to 513.
On Thursday there were 12 new cases reported in North Central.

Saskatchewan health officials reported one B.1.617 (Indian) variant of COVID-19 has been found in North Central, which includes Prince Albert, on Friday.
There were four other instances of the variant found among the first reported cases in the province.
This was among 438 new lineage results reported Friday.
Of the 4,106 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 4,021 are B.1.1.1.7 (UK), 71 are P.1 (Brazilian), nine are B.1.351 (SA), and 5 are B.1.617 (Indian).
There are now 267 confirmed variants of concern (VOC) cases identified by the province in the North Central zone, as of May 13.
Province reports four new COVID-19 deaths Tuesday
Saskatchewan health officials reported four deaths related to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
There were three deaths in the North West zone in the 30 to 39, 70 to 79 and 80 plus age groups. The other death was in the 60 to 69 age group in the South West.
The number of deaths in Saskatchewan related to COVID-19 has risen to 506.
On Tuesday there were 29 new cases reported in North Central, which includes Prince Albert.
In the province there was a total of 186 new cases reported. Saskatoon led the province with 53 new cases reported.
North Central 2, which is Prince Albert, has 85 active cases. North Central 1, which includes communities such as Christopher Lake, Candle Lake and Meath Park, has 42 active cases and North Central 3 has 67 active cases.

On May 6 Jim Carr, the Government of Canada’s Special Representative for the Prairies, on behalf of Catherine McKenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Saskatchewan’s Government Relations Minister Don McMorris, announced more than $50.2 million in joint funding for 55 infrastructure projects across the province.
The projects are funded under the new COVID-19 Resilience Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
Among other projects, the funding will go toward the construction of a new community centre in Kinistino, which will house the town office, a rental hall, a daycare and a library.
