(Photo courtesy of Brian Flores) CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - The City of Malaybalay in Bukidnon is mourning the death of its local chief executive, Mayor Florencio Flores Jr., who passed away of Friday. He was 72. After succeeding Flores, former vice mayor and now Mayor Jay Warren Pabillaran on Friday issued his first Executive Order directing all government agencies in Malaybalay City and all barangay government units to fly their flags at half-mast in honor of the late mayor. The order will take effect from Friday until Flores' internment as prescribed by Section 23 of the Republic Act 8491 or the "Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines."
