The Calcutta High Court has instructed the formation of a joint Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and West Bengal Police to investigate the attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers in Sandeshkhali on January 5. The ED officials were assaulted while searching the residence of Trinamool leader Shajahan Sheikh, resulting in injuries to three officers.
