When the legendary Dave Weckl Band reunited on stage at the 2019 Chesterfield Wine & Jazz Festival in St. Louis, Missouri, the show was already a rare and very special occasion. But even playing their first real show together in more than a decade, the band had no idea how special the set would feel just a few months later.
KITCHENER Police in Guelph are investigating a fatal crash that involved a pedestrian on Thursday morning. According to a news release, it happened near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Elmira Road North just before 7 a.m. Officials said that the pedestrian was taken to Guelph General Hospital after being hit by an SUV, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police identified him at 48-year-old Habtom Mossa in a news release. They said he was trying to cross Speedvale Avenue on foot. There are no sidewalks on the stretch of Speedvale where the crash happened, but nearby business owners said there are often pedestrians in the area.
