Families in a rural community in Liberty County are fighting to protect their neighborhood. They said oil from Jay Management Company is seeping into their well water system, causing health concerns and killing their livestock.
Last week, a judge in Harris County issued a temporary restraining order against Jay Management Company, ordering the oil and gas operator to stop all services immediately in the small community of Dayton. Since then, residents said the company continues production despite the judge’s order.
