Epstein s Upper East Side townhouse - where he hosted Prince Andrew and raped dozens of minors - is reduced from $88M to $65M
The sprawling 71st home is now listed for $65m, a decrease of 26 percent from its original $88m price tag
It was first listed for sale just under a year after Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his prison cell in NYC
The 50-foot-wide, 100 feet deep property is considered one of the city’s most prestigious homes
More recently the property has gained infamy as a house of horrors, where, for years, Epstein reportedly sexually abused dozens of underage girls

At the beginning of 2018, Ayelet Shaked, Israel’s justice minister at the time, set out to nominate a Supreme Court justice. Her preference was for a conservative jurist with a legal education and résumé sufficiently impressive to clear the high bar set by the Judicial Appointments Committee. She was taken aback to discover that she didn’t have a nominee who fit the bill. Her only option was to import a candidate. The result: a little-known legal scholar, Alex Stein, was invited to return from the United States, where he had been living for almost a decade and a half since leaving Israel with his family, as he had acquired professional experience that would meet the criteria.
From the moment federal prosecutors were handed the Jeffrey Epstein case, they didn’t trust Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer.
But even though federal prosecutors believed Krischer had “intentionally torpedoed” the case, they took the rare and misguided step of putting him in the driver’s seat.
Instead of vigorously pursuing the politically connected financier on charges that he sexually assaulted dozens of teens at his Palm Beach mansion, Krischer joined hands with Epstein’s defense team and undermined federal prosecutors’ efforts.
The conclusions, detailed in a 300-page report of an investigation by the U.S. Justice Department, paint a damning picture of both Krischer’s duplicity and federal prosecutors’ naivete.
dignity. one prosecutor wrote to epstein s attorney, jay lefkowitz, assuring him that in order to avoid the press, she could file the charge in district court in miami which should hopefully cut the press coverage significantly. that s pretty thoughtful treatment for a child molester. ultimately, epstein got a plea deal in which all federal charges against him were dropped, all of them. the arrangement was kept secret from epstein s victims, so they wouldn t be able to complain about it or contest that agreement in court. epstein received just 18 months. but instead of being sent to state prison like most sex offenders in florida, hein served as term in a private wing of the palm beach county stockade. it was a massive improvement over ordinary lockup. but even that wasn t lenient enough for jeffrey epstein. after just three and a half months in custody, epstein was freed on work release. that means he was able to leave the grounds for 12 hours a day, six days a week. sex offenders
they knew i think they knew that this guy had probably done what he was accused of, but they didn t think they could prove it. does that track for you? no, no, no, no. they had a 53 of had page indictment that was proving all of it, right? acosta let epstein off because acosta s buddy from a law firm is jay lefkowitz. that is the guy representing epstein. and they re buds. when we talk about the different justice systems for people at the top versus people at the bottom, we have to understand that we re talking about the entire system here. and what happens for people at the top, they can buy their way into it through the lawyers. we see this time and again. we saw this during the kavanaugh hearings. you saw how all those elite lawyers rallied around kavanaugh because they went to the same schools, they were taught by the same proat the time fessers. i used to be in that club. they didn t like me, but i know what that club looks like. including the harvard club.
