Keita takes game to new level in national championship win

April 24, 2021 HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Against an opponent that averaged 110 points per game this season, Blaise Keita was going to be the X-factor for Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College in its NJCAA championship bout vs. Cowley (Kan.) College on Saturday night. The 2022 Nebraska commit was everything the Red Ravens needed and then some in a wild 108-99 victory. The 6-foot-10, 235-pound freshman center changed the game inside the paint from the opening tip, finishing with a career-high 27 points on 13-of-16 shooting, nine rebounds, and four blocks before fouling out in the final minutes. He had 15 points (7-9 FG), six rebounds, four blocks, and four dunks in 16 minutes of work in the first half alone, helping Coffeyville to a 20-point halftime lead.

Husker recruits Tominaga, Keita shine at NJCAA Final Four

2022 Husker commit Blaise Keita making big strides in JUCO

April 20, 2021 HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Blaise Keita hauled in an offensive rebound and followed with an easy jump-hook to put Coffeyville (Kan.) up by 20 over Southwest Tennessee CC midway through the second half. Southwest Tennessee called a timeout, and one of its players gave an interesting – if not a bit hyperbolic – evaluation of Coffeyville’s 6-foot-10, 235-pound freshman center. “Man, Blaise is tougher than Shaq in there,” the player said told his coach. Keita’s final stat line was modest in the Ravens’ dominating 89-62 win over SWTCC in the first round of the 2021 NJCAA men’s basketball championship on Monday. The 2022 Nebraska commit finished with seven points on 3-of-4 shooting and a team-high nine rebounds in 19 minutes.
