Denver Chance was last seen by his friends on February 24, 2019. On Wednesday, pathologist Dr Charles Glenn said Chance’s body arrived at his facility still in the freezer. Chance’s skin was frozen to the sides of the freezer, so he had to be left in it for a day to thaw out. Once his body was removed, his body was still frozen - taking several more days to thaw completely. Photos of Chance’s body were taken on each day of the thawing process as it could cause differences to the body, Glenn said. Glenn talked the jury through injuries located on Chance’s body – including four gunshot wounds.
He has already pleaded guilty to three charges relating to possession of Class A, B and C drugs, including cocaine and MDMA, for supply or sale. On Thursday morning, police officers who played a part in Lingman’s arrest outside a bar in Mt Eden on March 10, 2019 took the stand. Detective Sergeant Michael Frost and Detective Constable Beth Bates told the court Lingman was read his rights multiple times. Bates said she was seated in the back of the patrol car with Lingman while he was driven to North Shore police station. Lingman told Bates he was taking 10 pills of diazepam a day for anxiety, the court heard.
