All of the commissions are in the charter. If we would create this by charter, it wouldnt be a Charter Commission that has all the responsibilities and duties defined in the charter. So we think its important that we have something that has. I think this is in many ways recognizing that this department is here to stay. One of the reasons why this this department maybe the main reason why this department doesnt have a commission currently is because its a new department. Its only been around a couple years, and the advisory structure that we have is here from a time when we didnt have a Single Department with the authority that your department has, had a single director and all of that. Denied help, 350 more extremely lowincome seniors are added to the 75,000. Theyll be excluded from new Affordable Housing. 4,000 by the year 2030. 4,000, in addition to the 75,000. Were in danger of homelessness and were in danger of being trapped in our homes, which are not a. D. A. Accessible. As a group, were left out of the calculations, as City Affordable Housing income requirements and opportunities have been moved to higher incomes. Seniors are not the only ones, of course, left out of these qualifications. When we need to accommodate everyone. But lets start with the seniors. [bell ringing] we have no options. We have serious disabilities and other situations. We cant go out and get three jobs. And even if we can work, one parttime job, were faced with widespread age discrimination.
