Mount Pleasant, IA- The Mount Pleasant Police Department has announced the arrest of four individuals on drug and weapons charges. According to a news release, on Thursday, November 3rd at 12:56 PM the Mount Pleasant Police Department investigated a drug complaint in the 200 block of West Franklin Street involving a vehicle and 4 people. Officers searched the vehicle and located marijuana and a pistol, which was later found to be stolen. As a result of the investigation all four subjects; 20-year-old Jaylin Randa of Coralville, and 19-year-old Jaxon Lay, 18-year-old Cordelris Neely, and 19-year-old Alvis Johnson all of Mount Pleasant were charged with Possession of Marijuana. Johnson was also charged with Trafficking Stolen Weapons. Johnson and Lay were arrested while the others were issued summons to appear in court.
