Moose Jaw Police issue warning after three overdoses in 12 hours

By Drew Postey May 31, 2021 | 6:40 AM Police in Moose Jaw are warning the public of a possible tainted or compromised street drug circulating after they responded to three over doses, one of them fatal, in a 12 hour period this past weekend. A news release Sunday morning said overdoses can happen to anyone, and police reminded drug users to not use alone. Moose Jaw Police said the following in a news release; • Anyone can be at risk of an overdose. Don’t use alone. • If you are a drug user, or you know a drug user, get help. Don’t let the addiction make the decisions and plans that can lead to a near-fatal or fatal overdose. Connect with health resources.

Regina men charged after Moose Jaw Police find weapons and drugs during traffic stop

By Drew Postey May 25, 2021 | 7:09 AM Police in Moose Jaw say two Regina men are facing charges, after weapons and a large quantity of meth, cocaine and fentanyl were found inside a vehicle. Police conducted a traffic stop on Saturday. When officers pulled the vehicle over they immediately noticed weapons inside, the driver and passenger were then detained and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers located 205 grams of meth, 13 grams of cocaine and seven grams of fentanyl, police say the street value of the drugs is about $20,000. As a result Andrew Loos of Regina, was charged with possession of meth, cocaine, fentanyl and weapons dangerous to the public.
