Iteam reporter Melanie Woodrow spoke with one of the suspects today at santa rita jail. She is in the newsroom now with the very latest on this. Melanie . Dan and kristen, i spoke with 21yearold javon lee over an internet video visitation to santa rita jail. He did not want to appear on camera, but he did answer several of my questions. For the first time were hearing from one of two men accused in connection with 34yearold shuo zengs death. The man died in oakland as he attempted to get his stolen laptop back. 22yearold byron reed and 21yearold javon lee are in custody. Reed is the suspected getaway driver and lee was involved in taking the laptop. They agreed to speak to abc7 news, but did not want to appear on camera. He says reed is his friend.
