Firefighters made quick work of vehicle fire that spread a little into a Spring Valley home Sunday morning, with an investigation underway over the cause of the blaze.
San Miguel Fire-Rescue personnel responded to Javelin Way near Jaeger Road at about 7:15 am to find a car in a driveway engulfed in flames. The fire extended to a small part of house but was extinguished with little damage to the structure, said Rich Durrell, a battalion chief with San Miguel Fire.
Residents were able to get out of the home safely, although one person suffered a twisted ankle, Battalion Chief Justin Fuller told OnScene TV. The fire was out in about 20 minutes.
