ANP suspends membership of 3 leaders

PESHAWAR: Central acting president of Awami National Party (ANP) Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has suspended the basic membership of former member provincial assembly Alamgir Khalil, member of the central executive council Imran Afridi and Javed Khattak for violating party rules.
According to a press release issued from Baacha Khan Markaz, the disciplinary action was taken after consultation with the party central leadership, think-tank and other office-bearers of the central office-bearers of the Pakhtun nationalist party.
The press release stated that show-cause notices were issued to Alamgir Khalil, Imran Afridi and Javed Khattak on July 15 for their alleged involvement in forming groups within the party and violating party rules by arranging meetings without the consensus of the party provincial and central leadership.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) that would create at least 200,000 job opportunities and give new impetus to Pakistan’s export-oriented industrialisation.
Rashakai, one of the nine SEZs under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), will begin a new era of industrialisation in Pakistan, PM Imran Khan said.
The SEZ is being constructed in Nowshera, Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The zone is being built at the cost of $242 million with the collaboration of China’s state enterprise China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and KP Economic Zone Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC).

Sartaj Ahmad Khan stressed for urgent measures to address the issues faced by the marble industry and crush plants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the marble sector and crush plants of Malakand, Chitral, Buner, Mohmand, Bajaur, Mardan, Peshawar and Nowshera were facing various issues and hampering the business activity. He said after the announcement of a special package by the prime minister for the construction sector, the marble and stone crushing industry needed extra incentives and attention by the government. Problems of these sectors he said would affect the entire construction sector.

Islamabad, April 16 : A special economic zone (SEZ) being constructed in Pakistan s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will create over 200,000 job opportunities for the locals, a top official said.
Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company, Javed Khattak told the media on Thursday that the Rashakai SEZ in the province is prioritized as a special economic park spreading over an area of about 1,000 acres near the provincial capital of Peshawar, reports Xinhua news agency.
