LAHORE (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Accountability Shahzad Akbar Friday said the transfer of government land in Jati Umrah has been rescinded.
Shahzad Akbar held a press conference and said a rumor was spread for cheap publicity that the Punjab government is going to launch an operation. He said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should not get worried as buildings are demolished by bulldozers and not by containers.
The SAPM said the real name of Jati Umrah is Moza Manik and it has been unearthed after inquiry that 800-kanal land was owned by the Punjab government there. He told that the province has no land in its name at the moment despite the fact that government land cannot be transferred.
