Jasper Police Lieutenant Garrett Foster said Thursday afternoon that a warrant has been obtained and an arrest is imminent in regard to two recent late-night home invasion robbery cases.
The first occurred on Thursday, May 20th at a home on East Martin Luther King Boulevard, and the second occurred on Saturday, May 22nd at a home on Second Street.
In each case, police said three armed black males forced their way in and stole guns and cash.
Foster said earlier in the week that investigators had developed a substantial lead in the case.

Jasper Police Lieutenant Garrett Foster said Monday that two home invasion robberies are under investigation. Foster said it s too soon to determine if they are related, but he noted that they are very similar.
Foster said the first one occurred shortly before 10:00 Thursday evening at the Cecilia Singletary residence at 606 East Martin Luther King Boulevard.
In that case, Foster said a black female knocked on Singletaryâs door and asked if she could borrow a set of jumper cables. Foster said when Singletary opened the door, three armed black males then forced their way and stole an undetermined amount of money.
