On July 14, 2021, at 10:30 p.m., Jasper RCMP received a report of a missing 36-year-old female from Jasper, who had not reported for work. It was out of character and there was concern for her wellbeing.
Jasper RCMP initiated a missing person investigation; however, while efforts were underway to locate the missing female, at approximately 10 a.m., Jasper RCMP received a report of a damaged vehicle a distance off Maligne Lake Road between Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake, Alta., on July 15, 2021.
Jasper RCMP, along with the assistance of the Jasper Fire Department, Parks Canada, and Jasper Emergency Medical Services, attended to the location of the vehicle. Upon arrival, Jasper RCMP located a single vehicle that appeared to have been in a single vehicle rollover that ended with the vehicle on fire. While police worked to located the missing female, around 10 a.m. the next day, they received a report of a damaged vehicle a distance off Maligne Lake Road between Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake.
Upon arrival, police located a vehicle, which appeared to have been in a single vehicle rollover that ended with it on fire.
