A slow-moving storm currently over the western Dakotas, eastern Montana and Wyoming has delivered a lot of wind, rain and thunderstorms to our region. More rain, mountain snow and wind is ahead, too.
Clouds were increasing Sunday over Monday ahead of our next storm, and that storm will affect us for a while. We'll have stronger wind with rain and mountain snow, and more is coming this week.
Montana and Wyoming have been much cooler than average the last several days with welcome rain and mountain snow. Saturday will bring a brief change with mild sunshine, with more changes next week.
The western half of Montana had most of the rain & mountain snow Saturday, but a few showers will still be possible in the east late this evening. Most of us will be dry Sunday, but change is ahead.
Light rain and mountain snow persisted for parts of Montana and Wyoming Friday, with gusty wind in the east. We'll have fewer lower elevation rain showers, but more mountain snow over the weekend.
