Three San Francisco fine dining veterans have taken over one of downtown Alameda’s most spacious restaurant spaces to open Alley & Vine, which they’re hoping will be a destination that draws diners from all over the Bay Area. While tempered by the pandemic, it’s still one of the most promising restaurant openings in years in Alameda, where high-end ingredients like caviar convene with affordable wines and big ambitions.
