Warriors sign imports Rysavy and Baco – WHL Network

Moose Jaw Warriors A pair of import forwards, Martin Rysavy and Robert Baco have committed to the Moose Jaw Warriors and the Western Hockey League by signing WHL Standard Player Agreements. The pair were Moose Jaw’s first-round selections in each of the past two CHL Import Drafts. “We are very excited to add two top-6 forwards to our program,” commented Warriors general manager Jason Ripplinger. “Martin and Robert are skilled players who play a heavy game. Welcoming them to our organization will give us the chance to compete as we push forward and battle for a playoff spot.” Rysavy, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound product of the Czech Republic, was selected in the seventh round, 197th overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Blades withstand late push by Raiders - Prince Albert Daily Herald

Prince Albert Daily Herald The Prince Albert Raiders were inches away from forcing overtime on Thursday night at the Brandt Centre. Blueliner Remy Aquilon wrapped his way around the Saskatoon Blades net and found Dallyn Peekeekoot in front, but his shot and a rebound attempt by Reece Vitelli were turned aside by Blades goaltender Nolan Maier. The Blades would seal their 5-3 victory on the following shift as Caiden Daley raced down the ice to score on an empty cage to hand their Raiders their second straight loss. “I thought we worked hard but some little mistakes that we made in our game cost us in the end as they (the Blades) were able to put it in the back of the net,” Vitelli said. “If we clean those mistakes up, we have a different result.”
