Regina police is warning the Heritage community about a sex offender now living in the neighbourhood.
They say Jason Paul Thorn, 44, moved into a halfway house on Wednesday, where he must abide several conditions.
Police say Thorn has a history of sexual offences and poses a high risk to offend against female children.
“The prospects for reduction of his risk through treatment interventions are poor,” says a news release.

REGINA Regina police are alerting the public about a man who is at a high risk to reoffend and is living in the city’s Heritage neighbourhood. According to police, 43-year-old Jason Paul Thorn, who has been the subject of previous public disclosures, has a history of sexual offences and poses a high risk to reoffend against girls. Thorn began a statutory release on Thursday and is scheduled to resume his long-term supervision order on April 21, 2021. Thorn must follow a treatment plan, receive counselling, cannot be in the presence of children under 18 unless supervised, and has to live at a community correctional centre, community residential facility or other residential facility (such as private home placement) approved by the Correctional Service of Canada. He is under several additional special conditions.

Regina Police are advising the public about a man who is considered to be a high risk to re-offend sexually.
Forty-three year old Jason Paul Thorn, will reside in the Heritage neighbourhood of Regina in a residence that provides supervision and monitoring of his activities. Police say the information they are releasing is intended to enable members of the public to take suitable preventative measures, not to embark on any form of vigilantism or other unreasonable conduct directed at this individual.
