Pollardâs Chicken closes Virginia Beach restaurant as company struggles during pandemic

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.â A local restaurant thatâs been around for more than 50 years is struggling to survive because of the pandemic.
Pollardâs Chicken & Catering is now calling for the community s support as theyâre forced to shut down one of their locations. The company is closing the Virginia Beach restaurant on South Witchduck Road after December 31â 24 years after the doors first opened.
âItâs very sad, itâs very emotional for all of us,â said operations manager Mary Gagnon.
The family-owned restaurant company is a staple in the community â serving down-home meals in Hampton Roads for 50 years.
