Former Progressive Conservative MLA Ty Lund has died at the age of 82.
Lund began his political career as an MLA for Rocky Mountain House (now known as Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre) when he was first elected in 1989. He served for six terms and held four Cabinet portfolios until he was defeated in 2012.

In a statement posted to Twitter, current Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre MLA and Minister of Environment and Parks Jason Nixon offered his condolences.
