were committed or weren t. that s kind of a line you ve heard from establishment republicans, people who are concerned about the possibility of donald trump firing rod rosenstein. then you have the people like steve bannon, jason mill, he and others who are saying get rid of them. how do you square it? this is something that we re hearing from a number of republicans who have come out and said who are pleading either privately or publicly with the president that firing the special counsel or the deputy attorney general in this case would be a serious mistake. they want the investigation to just take its course and, you know, the president has maintained throughout this whole process his innocence and he did not clued with the russian government officials so they said let it go, let him do his job. sara, you were here when i talked to sort of folks across the administration. they re frustrated that this topic keeps coming up in some ways. one, the senator, thom tillis has a solu
the white house is going to run efficiently. jason is a great guy. garland, what s your response? miner hiccup or something more perhaps unsavory? i do think it s a minor hiccup. there are a lot of policy issues that come to the forefront. there will be a lot of discussion regarding the various members of the cabinet whose business interests are directly tied to the industries they ll be regulating. once we get to the cabinet members and start getting to the nominees being vetted through the senate, that s when we ll get the big we ll start to see the big stories come out sflo garland, i want to stick with you and get sean s response. another topic we ve been learning about over the past 24 hours that donald trump will be dissolving the trump foundation. the charitable of his work. presumably you felt there were probably conflicts of interest here. is that argument that i assume you had before, correct me if i m wrong, is that argument now
eric trump said he too would stop fund-raising. about $1.5 million primarily for st. jude s hospital is how much eric trump s foundation raises. he s announcing he too will suspend his charity. he said on thursday after reports of the trump sons possibly giving generous donors special access to their father. obviously now that would be a big problem. the president-elect tweeting his displeasure saying this isn t this a ridiculous shame? he loves these kids. has raised millions of dollars for them and now must stop. wrong answer. as for the trump foundation, we don t have a timeline of when it will be dissolved. but the future president said he will be pursuing his strong interest in philanthropy in other ways. back to you. certainly the president has a lot of ways to pursue those ideas. speaking of mr. trump and the trump transition, jason mill are
from the folks outside looking in. maybe they re lobbyists who are upset the president-elect is going to come in and have no lobby iists as part of his transition effort. maybe they re from insiders who are frustrated the president-elect is going to come in and drain the swamp, exactly as he promised. here s the real signed look at the transition team office, is one of structure, one of methodical planning to make sure we get this right and ultimately the president-elect is the one who will be making these decisions. while there s a lot of speculations on the who s going to go where, i think it s important to keep in mind that president didn t have his cabinet complete in one week. in fact, it took month longer after his election in 2008. the president-elect is going to get this right. people know he has fantastic judgment. we re going to get it right so we don t have to go and review anything here. jason, you do have mike rogers who came out, and i m paraphrasing here, essentially
