Chico Police officers arrested a man they say stole from a garage late Thursday night.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico Police officers arrested a man they say stole from a garage late Thursday night.
Chico Police responded to a call around 9:22 p.m. Thursday night. The caller, a concerned neighbor, reported a man taking items from an open garage of a home in 1100 block of Salem Street.
Officers say when they arrived on scene, a man they identified as 40-year-old Jason Lee Powell ran from police into the surrounding neighborhood. Officers say they searched the neighborhood with a K-9 unit and found Powell hiding in the backyard of a home on Normal Street.
