DAVAO CITY – A rescued Philippine Eagle will soon return to the forest after his rehabilitation at the Philippine Eagle Center.
The Philippine Eagle Foundation announced on Monday, April 5, that Tagoyaman Fernando, the Philippine Eagle who they rescued in San Fernando, Bukidnon in October last year, will be released on Earth Day, April 22.
“He was accidentally trapped in a native snare made for deer and wild pigs, but is now back in good health after his rehabilitation at the PEC,” the PEF said.
Dr. Jason Ibañez, Director for Research and Conservation, wrote Tagoyaman Fernando’s rescue story which was published on the PEF’s website.
