Landscape photography auction launched in aid of Patterdale Mountain Rescue volunteer Chris Lewis Picture: Mark Littlejohn More than £3,000 has been raised in two days via an online photography auction in aid of Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team member Chris Lewis. A group of 25 multi-award-winning landscape photographers from all over the UK have come together in support of volunteer Chris, who suffered life-changing injuries as the result of a fall while on a rescue mission on February 6. The online auction was organised by Paula Mould and Jason Hudson. Each photographer agreed to auction an image from their prestigious portfolio, with the aim of raising a substantial amount of money to help support Chris, who will now need support and care for the rest of his life.

King’s fight for equal rights and social justice has been an inspiration for people of all generations. The speech has inspired several generations in Houston, so much so that an oratory contest happens every year in King’s honor.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) Twelve Houston Independent School District students shared their 2021 vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr s I have a dream speech during the district s annual oratory competition Friday, which also happened to be King s birthday. He would have turned 92. This year, students answered the question, How do you think Dr. King s teachings can help us today? Fourth and fifth grade HISD students delivered original, three to five minute speeches inspired by the late civil rights leader. Students were judged on delivery, stage presence, content interpretation, and memorization. The 2020-2021 finalists were: Andrianna Harden, Bastian Elementary School, fifth grade
