The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has faced challenges in recent years from severe flooding and erosion to the impacts of phosphorus on water quality.
But Tuesday was a time to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the conservation authority that continues to serve its 10 member municipalities across a 3,275-square-kilometre watershed that includes the lower Thames River and sections of Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair.
