FBI raids home in Owens Cross Roads; 1 person arrested
Melanie Michelle Mills is being held at the Madison County Jail.

The Madison County Sheriff s Office helped the FBI to enter a home in Owens Cross Roads on Friday.
Melanie Michelle Mills was taken into custody and has been charged with obstructing federal operations. Mills is now at the Madison County Jail and faces state charges.

Her 18-year-old son was also in the home when the FBI entered. He is not facing any charges.
Computer devices and monitors were pulled out of the home by the FBI.
Police calls
The Rutherford County Sheriffâs Office received 125 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police received 59 calls; Spindale police processed 62 calls; Rutherfordton police received 18 calls; Lake Lure police processed 6 calls; Rutherford County EMS processed 50 calls; Rescue processed 19 calls.
Fire calls
Forest City firefighters were called to a motor vehicle accident and a structure fire; Hudlow firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident.
Arrests
Christian Fortenberry, of Mooresboro, was arrested for assault on female, injury to personal property, first degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation and larceny of motor vehicle; no bond.
Addie Browning, of Rutherfordton, was arrested for failure to appear; $50 bond.
