The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Feb. 7.
The big game will look slightly different this year as the stadium will only be about a quarter full due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the game will mark a historic first for the NFL with the Buccaneers being the first team to play the Super Bowl at its home stadium in the 55 years the game has been held.
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is doing its part to welcome the thousands of extra passengers who will arrive and depart on commercial flights and the hundreds of private and charter jets that will park at the airport’s general aviation facilities.
The airport has a webpage with information for Big Game travelers and links to a long list of pandemic-fighting strategies TPA is taking to keep passengers safe. There is also a helpful chatbot on the website and Wi-Fi network to answer COVID-19-related questions such as where to get a free mask at the airport and the hours and location of the onsite COVID-19 testing facility.
