This holiday season, Finnish postal service Posti achieved a significant milestone by delivering nearly 7 million packages during the Christmas season, starting from Black Friday week. This surge in package delivery reflects a continuing trend of Finnish people generously sharing holiday gifts and greetings.

Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT’s second strike regarding the trucking sector is announced to begin on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at 3 a.m. and to end on Wednesday March 8, 2023, at 3 a.m. In addition, The Finnish Post and Logistics Union PAU has once again announced support measures that aim to support AKT’s industrial action measures in the trucking sector. PAU’s support measures concern the handling of freight in terminals from March 1 at 3 a.m. to March 8 at 3 a.m.
Ismo Kokko, the chairperson of the Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT), told YLE on Wednesday that the union has not set an end date for the ongoing stevedore strike.
Finns have again remembered loved ones with many Christmas parcels and cards. Posti delivered altogether nearly 7 million parcels during peak Christmas weeks, starting with Black Week.
